On Wednesday, the Yankees beat the Orioles 2-1 on a walk off homerun by Raul Ibanez in the 12th. On Thursday the Orioles beat the Yankees 2-1 in the 13th. Continuing with the walk off theme, Jayson Werth hit a walk off homerun to give the Nats a 2-1. Notice a trend? I’m going to go out on a limb a predict that tomorrows games will end with the scores of 2-1 and the winners will win thanks to some late inning heroics. Bold prediction? Maybe but I don’t have any money on it so why not. I’m not going to go as far as to make predictions as to who the winners will be…wouldn’t want to jinx anything. Regardless of who wins tomorrow it will undoubtedly be very exciting to watch and I hope these nail-biting, edge-of-your-seats games continue into the League Championship Series and the World Series. I have a sneaky suspicion that no matter who wins tomorrow, they will be. Anyone up for some Games 7s? So for those of you where one of the teams is your team, talk to your doctor about blood pressure medicine.
Alright everyone, I was half asleep two hours ago so have a great Friday and an even better weekend. Thanks again for taking part in this month’s reader’s choice poll and thanks for being loyal readers. Congrats to the San Francisco Giants on breaking the 2-0 curse. I’m all for curse breaking (it’s got to happen soon). If anyone is confused by that just see what baseball team I root for (hint: they missed the playoffs by a mere 28 games). I want to leave you with one thing to think about…Orioles vs. Nationals (sorry Marris and T.O.). This isn’t a prediction, just something to chew on while you are on the couch with the remote in your hand and as many sports games as possible on the TV in front of you. Have a great weekend everyone!
