Since all the top seeds won game one and statistically 78% of the time those who win game one win the series many would say all eight of these teams should advance. I would counter and say…not so fast. Statically at least one, possibly two will most likely loss their seven game series. Of course there is a possibility all eight could win, but everyone becomes a statistic…you are either a denominator or a denominator and numerator. The question is can all eight teams be the later and become both and if not who will become just a denominator and fall into that 22%. I am optimistic and from the looks of game one…the Pacers will come out of round one without much of an issue – as long as we can steal a win or two in Atlanta. Statically speaking we have won 0% of our games in the past 11 visits. This statistic can take you one of two ways. I am looking at it from the vantage point that we are due to win a few very soon…like in round one of the playoffs.
Let's all breathe a sigh of relief. The Pacers came out swinging and landed a nice knock-out punch to the Hawks on Sunday. The end of the season was tough but hopefully the rest helped the Pacers get back on track and by the results Sunday, it appears the loss to the 76er's was worth it. Once you are in the playoffs, it only takes 16 wins to become an NBA champion - 1 down, 15 to go. Live, love and play like there is no tomorrow - thanks for reading.
