The thing I love most about the "One Shining Moment" video every year is how it encapsulates the entire tournament in a matter of minutes. And I'm not just talking about the great dunks or buzzer beaters... it encapsulates every moment, every emotion, every part of the game (there are still some great dunks and what not, but there's so much more). For these young adults, these games aren't to win an office pool, they aren't for bragging rights over Karen (hopefully she ended her rein of terror (see the Coke Zero comercials)), for these kids it is making there mark, making the most of their season. There is so much emotion that goes into every game. You see guys putting their heart, soul and body on the line to give there team a chance. And you know they gave it their all, because you can see the pain in their eyes as they walk off the court. And stars are made in the NCAA tournament. I will never forget seeing Bryce Drew hit the shot that sent Valpo through to the next round, Keith Smarts winner against the 'Cuse (sorry Brian), Christian Laetner's heave, and Gordon Heyward's near miss. Those moments live on well past the tournament. The emotion, the heartbreak, the joy... all in a short 3 minute video. I think it is great. I watched it again today, and again it didn't disappoint. So here is the video for "One Shining Moment" 2013, hopefully this tournament didn't disappoint for you.
