Now it is easy to turn the luck train around and be a little more optimistic. Let's start with my most recent example of bad luck, IU. For some the IU loss wasn't so bad. I received a text from a very happy server at Applebee's celebrating an IU loss. Besides the good luck for Purdue fans (and Wisconsin fans), for IU fans an overall number one seed could have been bad luck for IU...they sure haven't had good luck with the overall number one ranking all year.
Back to my original example of bad luck, the Pacer's current struggles could be a blessing. As I was lamenting the Pacers defeat to the 76er's via twitter, a co-worker and twitter follower, tweeted back that at least the Pacers are slumping now. I was thinking he was crazy until I realized it is better to slump now and not in the playoffs. Let's get it out of our system and maybe in the process we can avoid a first round match up with a very hot Celtics team.
