The Indianapolis Indians are not winning because of theatrics, big name players or a system with high paid players. They are winning because they play fundamental baseball. Not only do they play fundamental baseball but they also play alert; catching their opponents off guard - some may even say asleep. Below is a good example as Josh Harrison steals home on a 2 -1 pitch.
As previously mentioned, the Pirates are also doing well, tied for the best record in the Majors and with such a strong minor league team supporting them they should be able to break into the playoffs for the first time in over two decades. Unfortunately, as I have mentioned before, the Indians will continue to have a great regular season but will most likely struggle in the playoffs as their key players will be called up to the Majors. Indianapolis should take pride in the fact that they are playing so well and will most likely end up with the best record in the International league, even if the playoffs might not be so bright. Go ahead, enjoy that play were Harrison steals home one more time, I know you can't resist. Live, love and play like there is no tomorrow - thanks for reading!
