As for the colors and the crest, I approve much more of these. I am a fan of both of these. The crest, pictured above, features Victory, the statue atop the Soldiers and Sailors Monument in the circle in downtown Indianapolis. I think that is a great idea and looks pretty cool with the torch and sword. The circled star on the bottom is from the center of the flag of Indianapolis. I also really like the color choice. The colors are red, blue, and white, and involve a checkered pattern. These not only represent the city flag of Indianapolis but also the racing history of the city. When they were taking suggestions, I had recommended blue, red, gold involving some sort of checkered pattern. I suggested the gold because of the state flag because my hope was to represent the state not just the city. However, over 3000 season tickets have already been sold so it sounds like the city is doing a fine job supporting their team to be. I don’t know how many people Carroll Stadium holds at IUPUI but it sounds like it’s going to be a rocking time.
