First off, I would like to point out that the Indianapolis Colts seem to always be the underdog but the team that never loses unless they decide to loss. I have never seen such an amazing team get abused as much as the Indianapolis Colts. No matter how many times this team proves themselves, sports analysts will never give them the respect they deserve. It has become an interesting trend though because no matter how many things they can find wrong with the Colts, the analysts still pick them to win every game.
Next, what is the point of having an all star game in any sport except for baseball, but even in baseball the all-star game is losing its prestige. This might seem like a random rant at this time, but think about it. The pro-bowl is coming up next weekend and the only reason it is being played at that time is to try and boost ratings. No one really cares who wins the pro bowl game and the owners don’t want their players in an extra game in which they could be injured. The only fun part about the pro bowl is having the players from your team voted in. Once they are in the game, you don’t care anymore. The other all-star game coming up is in the NBA and that has to be one of the biggest jokes in the history of sports. The two teams don’t play basketball they put on a show. This leads me to my final rant…
…The NBA slam dunk contest has no relevance anymore. The NBA can’t even get one big name player to participate. Lebron James and Kobe Bryant are "sitting this one out." In other words, why would I want to waste my time with something that I won't receive any get money or prestige. When the stars of the game don’t want to participate in the slam dunk contest, it is time to give it up. Stop the slam dunk contest now and look upon the contest in which Kobe Bryant use to light up the building fondly.
